YOUNG ARTIST LATE BITE: August 29
Angelina is nineteen years old and comes from Southport. She has just completed her first year as a vocal student at the Royal College of Music as an RCM Scholar under the tuition of Patricia Bardon. She began her music education at the age of six and first studied singing with Ranee Seneviratne, then continuing from age twelve with Jenny Heslop at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music where she was awarded prizes in each of her last five years. Angelina won the JRNCM Concerto Prize in 2019 resulting in the opportunity to perform Britten’s “A Charm of Lullabies” accompanied by their Symphony Orchestra.
Angelina was the winner of the National Young Musician of the Year Vocal Competition held by Rotary International, 2018.
As well as solo singing, Angelina is a lover of choral music and has been enjoying her position as Alto Lay Clerk at St Barnabas Church, Ealing. She is a member of the Rodolfus Choir and has also enjoyed membership of the National Youth Choir GB. Angelina also plays piano and violin and has been co-leader of the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. She is a current member of the Early Music Youth Orchestra.
Angelina is also an Apprentice of the Merchant Taylors’ Company.
Angelina has given numerous recitals and performed in concerts at venues including the Liverpool Philharmonic, St. George’s Hall, the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall.
